What does Playadito Traditional taste like?
Playadito Traditional tastes remarkably sweet and mild for a yerba mate, with clear notes of honey, sugar cane and subtle undertones of sweet tobacco. The flavour profile is soft and naturally gentle, with refined floral nuances reminiscent of green tea, woody tones and a clean finish without sharpness. Despite the soft sweetness it never feels artificial or overly sugary; the flavour comes straight from the plant itself, thanks to traditional processing and a minimum of 12 months of ageing.

Playadito is produced by Cooperativa Agrícola de la Colonia Liebig, founded in 1926 by German, Ukrainian and Polish immigrant families in the province of Corrientes, Argentina. The cooperative has since become one of the oldest and most respected yerba mate producers in Argentina, with more than 130 affiliated agricultural producers and an annual output of 36 million kilos of yerba mate.
How do you drink Playadito Traditional?
You prepare Playadito Traditional the classic Argentinian way: fill a traditional gourd about two thirds with the loose yerba and then pour hot water at 70-80°C over it.
